This hotel is a great find, it surpassed all of our expectations. The newly refurbished rooms were large, bright, and had a nice balcony. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with a map and key spots to see in the area. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Trevi Fountain and close to the center of town. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided in our room each morning.
The only minor issue we had was that the air conditioning didn't have much power, so on really hot days the room became a bit warm. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Located a few steps away from piazza barberini. Tuscolana neighborhood deserves to be explored. There's nothing too much trouble, I will choose the place for future trips.
Couldn’t fault.

A very pleasant surprise. Arriving at what looked like an apartment block I was worried that I had made the wrong choice, but do not judge this place by appearances, please. As the lift doors opened I received a very warm welcome from the owner who had been preparing a few suggestions for my stay while waiting for me to arrive. I chose the place on rate and location. What was a pleasant surprise was the generously designed room and outdoor private terrace. Each morning I had fresh breakfast delivered and ate it on my terrace, then set out for the day and returned to the comfort and cool of my room each evening. Very pleasant surprise. I'll be returning.
Soundproofing wasn't the greatest, although don't let it put you off unless you're the world's lightest sleeper.

Location and the terrace, where it was a beautiful lemon tree.
Lots of things. Our room didn't appear on any of the pictures I viewed on sites, being small, without windows and for sure reserved for the staff of the hotel. It was very dirty and old, there were stains on our sheets and on the floor. The bed was a simple mattress laid on the floor and the AC wasn't working for heat, even though outside was still cold. The closet was scratched and dirty and the bathroom had a door as one of the wall, which separated it from the kitchen (in the morning, while in our bathroom, we heard our breakfast being prepared). It was a complete disappointment.

I recently stayed at a charming inn located just off the upmarket Via Veneto area in Rome. This hotel not only provided excellent value for money, but it also exceeded my expectations in terms of its attention to detail and service. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the central location made it easy to explore the nearby bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I particularly enjoyed the nice balcony in my room, where I could relax and take in the view of the city. Additionally, the hotel offered a tasty breakfast to start the day off right.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was fantastic and there was nothing that I felt could be improved.

The room was modern, clean and it had an excellent patio for our breakfast in bed that was provided every morning. It was a nice way to start the day and a good place to take refuge when the heat got the best of us. The location was excellent- an easy walk to all the sites.
The staff presence was spotty at best. It felt more like staying at an apartment than a hotel. You needed four keys to get to your room, but it was a nice set-up if you don't mind missing out on the hotel experience.

The recently refurbished rooms were large, bright, and spacious, and came with a balcony to enjoy the view. the location was superb as it was just a short walk away from popular tourist spots, making it convenient to explore the area. the service provided by the staff was friendly and efficient without being intrusive.
The Wi-Fi signal was weak and kept disconnecting at times. the air conditioning unit was not working properly, which made it difficult to bear the heat in the room.

Great location near metro, high class and safe neighbourhood, cafes and restaurants nearby, comfortable room with private balcony, breakfast served at room, multilanguage reception, friendly staff, satellite tv 800 channels all over the world, 24h warm water, a/c
If you are ''lucky'' to stay in the room named ''private'' remember it is actually an attic and the smallest, with no table inside the room to have breakfast properly. It has though private balcony. Someone very tall can stand up only at a part of the room, so watch your head. Some people may find this romantic...shower is separate room from the rest wc at the other side of the room and with wall made out of glass (!) and transparent door. The room lucks of shade and is warmer. Fortunatelly there is a/C. Apart from this, Alex Inn is nice and comfortable, an excellent choise

Staff where very helpful, and the rooms a/c was jammin'. The hotel was centrally located, a very short walk will get you to the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain.
There was a slight odor in the hallway of the hotel (not in the room), it honestly smelled like burnt rubber. When the maid came to clean the room she would always leave the door to the balcony open a little, I am assuming this was to "air out" the room. It wasn't a huge deal because each room had it's own ac unit that could make it sub-zero in just a few minutes.

Great find in a central location, rooms were spacious and newly refurbished. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the service was not intrusive. The continental breakfast, delivered to the room, was a nice touch. Free wifi was available, although the signal was stronger closer to the door.
The cleanliness of the bathrooms could have been improved, with bins not being emptied and towels not being changed. The walls were extremely thin, making it difficult to have peace and quiet.

Alex Inn was great. Helpful, knowledgeable, multi-lingual staff, good service, modern, clean rooms. They all have a little balcony that go out into the courtyard which minimizes noise polution from the street. Breakfast is handeled well, too: You fill out a card and put it to the reception desk with what you want and when you want it, then it is delivered to your room. It is not the most amazing selection, but enough to get you started. Especially for Rome the value for money is great. Absolute recommendation.
Bring ear plugs! (Thin walls.)

Fantasitic hotel for the price. Very well located and the Staff was very helpful and wants to help. We cannot compare this place the big hotels in term of services (that increase the cost of your room by several 100euros) but in my point of this is the best quality price hotel that I've seen in Europe to visit a city. It's a must!!!!
